Kayaking on Montague River - from Montague PEI to Lower Montague PEI Rating: Two Stars - Wide and calm (at least on the day that I kayaked) river. I started at the Montague waterfront and took out at the Lower Montague Harbour pier. Saw workers on the boat tending to their mussell farms. Paddle time was 1 hour 20 minutes.   Put in at Station Street   ramp in Montague PEI. Take out at Saint Andrews Point Road   pier in Lower Montague PEI. Estimated distance   = 4.5 miles Best to start paddle at high   tide or soon after. Paddling out of the ramp . . . Turning left from here to paddle the Montague downriver. Kayak rentals available. Montague waterfront. Now facing east. Just out of the Montague marina. Will just paddle straight (eastward) and will stay near the right side where the take out will be. Looking at my right (south bank). Waterfront houses along the north bank. A motorised boat on Montague River. Meanwhile, back at the marina,Saco and Sebec. I think these are mussell farms. The boat and crew harvesting from their mussell farm. Montague River is a working farm river. I can now see the structure with the shiny roof. That is where I am taking out. Paddle time was 1 hour 20 minutes.
