Kayaking on Millers River - from Athol MA to Orange MA Rating: Two-and-a-Half Stars - A very green stretch of the Millers River, mostly undeveloped and pristine with varying scenery on the banks. Kayaked with the wife, niece and friend. The river takes many bends and have a slow and perceptible current. Saw two turtles on the side on top of each other and totally ignored us! :) Paddle time was 2 hours and 22 minutes.   Put in at Alan E Rich Environmental   Park on Main Street in Athol MA. Mill Brook enters on   left. Veer right. Take out at East River Street   park in Orange MA. The Boston Kayaker and wife just launched on Millers River in Athol MA. Turned left from launch to paddle dowriver. My niece and her friend paddling under the Main Street Bridge over the Milles River Today's temperatures are on the high side 90sF. That aside, skies are clear. The newbies. This pickup is actually travelling on the rails . . . Approaching the building in Orange MA. We take out near those buildings on left. Landed. Paddle time is 2 hours and 22 minutes. Take out is at Riverfront Park on East River Street in Orange MA.
