I was ready to launch before 8am.

The Boston Kayaker just launched on Lewey Lake.

It was still foggy but I can see 2 kayaks on Lewey Lake.

I veered to my left. The plan is to paddle southwest following the coast on my left.

Happy campers.

Looking to my right.

Continuing my southwest direction.

Nearing the south end of Lewey Lake, I will be looking for the Miami River inlet.

Looking north, Lewey Lake as seen from the south end.

Searching for the Miami River inlet . . .

I can see it now. In front left.

Now on the mouth of Miami River at Lewey Lake.

Paddling into Miami River.
I checked the time-stamps on the pictures and it took me 24 minutes to get here after launching.

Now paddling upstream on Miami River.

At this point, after paddling 20 minutes into Miami River, I decided to turn around and head back.

Just turned around and now paddling north to where I came from.

Entering Lewey Lake from Miami River.

Now at the mouth of Miami River, looking northeast at the rest of Lewey Lake.

Veered to my left to check out the western coast of Lewey Lake.

The western shore of Lewey Lake on my left.

I can see the launch area at the center of the picture.

Landed. Total paddle time was 1 hour and 40 minutes.
