Kayaking on Wickford Harbor - in North Kingstown RI Rating: Two Stars - Had a pleasant round-trip paddle into Wickford Harbor with my 2 loyal companions Saco and Sebec. Anchored boats, a "lighthouse" (decorative only and not official), water-front houses. Launch area has enough parking spaces. Paddle time was 52 minutes but can easily be extended by paddling farther out to the beach and coves.   Put in at Intrepid Road   in North Kingstown RI. Paddle around Wickford   Harbor and return. Estimated round trip   distance = 6 to 8 miles Wilson   Park Public   beach   Alternate put in at Pleasant   Street town ramp. The Kayak Centre of RI   - rentals and tours Jamestown Bridge on   southeastern horizon. At Wickford Harbor boat ramp parking lot area on Intrepid Road in North Kingstown RI. Trip date is June 2026. The ramp to Wickford Harbor at Wilson Park on Intrepid Road in North Kingstown RI. Inside the Wilson Park, just before you reach the ramp, is this access for hand-carried boats. This is where I will launch my kayak . . . The Boston Kayaker just launched into Wickford Harbor. From the launch, I veered to the right. A group of kayakers on Wickford Harbor. I can see the parked boats in Wickford Harbor. The public boat ramp into Wickford Harbor on my right. "Inconceivable" Wickford RI Moving marine traffic on Wickford Harbor. Wickford Shipyard. Water-front homes. I do not think this is an "official" lighthouse as it is not mentioned in maps. This "lighthouse" is very likely just a decorative feature of this rich-man's waterfront house. From the "lioghthouse" I turned around . . . Looking to my right is the Fishing Cove. Back to my landing at Wilson Park. Paddle time was 52 minutes.
