Boston Kayaker

Kayaking on Weymouth Back River - in Weymouth MA

Rating: Two Stars - A very nice trip I had on this river. As you go into the Weymouth Back River past the Route 3A bridge and into the lake-like estuary, you will forget you are in a Boston-suburbia and feels like New Hampshire. I followed my own advise and start my paddle at 11am when the high tide is scheduled at 12:15pm. I managed to get to fish ladder and back. The round trip was a little over 2 hours.

A bit wavy.

The High Street Bridge tunnel in Jackson Square.

I picked the right tunnel. Water is flowing swift inside the tunnel.

Looks like a canal with walls.
