The West River Pond Dam seen from the Route 16 bridge in Uxbridge MA.
Trip date is May 2013.

Soon after turning right into West River River (from Route 16), this space on the right can be seen. Parking for more than a few cars.

The Boston Kayaker just launched on West River Pond. Facing the spillway dam momentarily.

Turned around to my left to start my paddle north. It is pollen season and this pond is showing it.

The leaves are still sprouting this second sunday of May 2013.
Another 2 weeks and this scene will be much greener.

Two young men fishing from the west shore.

Have to follow the clear path of the flowing water . . .

A private picnic area.

I have reached the kayakable north end of West River Pond.

I have just turned around and now heading back to where I started.

Passing clouds.

The dam and Route 16 beyond it is in sight. Landing is on my right before dam.
I was on the water for 1 hour 12 minutes.
