Kayaking on Waterbury Reservoir - from Stowe VT to Waterbury Center VT

Rating: Two-and-a-Half Stars - Clouded mountain ranges in the horizon, lush tree-lined hilly banks, calm and clear waters, we had a very pleasant and relaxing trip on this lake reservoir. Water level was high when we paddled and the launch and the state park rec area were partially flooded.

The Boston Kayaker and brother-in-law at the Waterbury Reservoir launch on Cottonbrook Road in Stowe VT.
Trip date is June 2013.

Just launched at the Waterbury Reservoir. Will do a one-way trip south to the state park beach.

The water level is high and the launch area is partially flooded.

Beautiful Waterbury Reservoir.

There is the boat ramp on Blush Hill Road.
This launch is free. One has to pay $3 to get into the state park from the gate.

That patch of green grass is the recreation area at the Waterbury State Park.

Before landing at the state park, we decided to explore this small cove to the right.

Not much into this cove.

Turned around and facing north west.

Now heading east to our destination.
