Kayaking on Ten Mile River - in Pawtucket RI

Rating: One Star - A pleasant paddle on the Ten Mile River. Did not get past the Central Avenue bridge as there are trees blocking my way. I suggest do this route before August when the aquatic vegetation is not as much.

The Ten Mile Reservoir Dam on Armistice Boulevard in Pawtucket RI.

At the Ten Mile River next to the dam.
Trip date is August 2012.

Just launched.

I paddled to my left just to get a closer look at the dam.

The dam as seen from above. That concrete outcropping on the right and the noise of the waterfall marks the dam (good to know!).

Now paddling northwards.

A glance back to where I put in so I can recognize it later.

Exactly 30 minutes into my paddle (according to the timestamps on the pictures), I hit this tree on the river.

At this point, I decided to turned around and start my return journey.

Now paddling south back to where I started.

Landed. The beautiful wife is waiting.
