Kayaking on Olney Pond and Barney Pond - in Lincoln RI

Rating: One-and-a-Half Stars - The non-circular shape of Olney Pond allows for some hidden coves to be explored as one navigates the perimiter of the pond. Big boulders and rocks dot the shoreline and at least 2 islands in the middle. A swimming picnic can be planned for this kayak destination. I checked out Barney Pond and did not think much of it and chose not to paddle Barney Pond.

Veering to my right, I will circle Olney Pond counter-clockwise.

Another cove on my right.

Being late spring, the leaves are not fully out and still spurting/growing.

The water is still a bit cold for me but that did not stop all these beachgoers!

Next to the swimming beach is the EMS kayak rentals.

Looking straight ahead is the launch area where I came from.

Landed. I was on the water for 46 minutes.
