Kayaking on Lake Nominingue - in Nominingue, Québec

Rating: One Star - I got spoiled with the pristing lakes inside Parc national du Mont-Tremblant that I have been paddling in the last few days. Lac Nominingue is big and the day we paddled, very windy and choppy. Waves have been splashing into our tandem kayak (we have no spray skirts) and the water becoming choppy. About a mile into our paddle, we turned around as we are both wet and the wind seem will not stop.

Past the bridge and into the main body of Lake Nominingue.

We are veering to the right.

The wind is really blowing into our faces.

We are keeping close to the eastern shore on our left.

We are really struggling to paddle against the wind and choppy waters.

At this point, about a mile into our paddling and not even half-way on the eastern coast, we decided to turn around and paddle back.

Now facing west (across the lake) and turning . . .

Just turned around and now facing south with the eastern coast on our left.
