Kayaking on Long Pond - in Ledyard CT Rating: One Star - A pleasant morning appetizer trip I did while staying at Foxwoods casino. Paddle time was 50 minutes.   Put in at Lantern Hill Road state   ramp in Ledyard CT. Paddle around Long   Pond and return. Trip date is July 2019. The ramp to Long Pond. A rower. The Boston Kayaker just launched on Long Pond. To the right of the launch ramp is the northern end of Long Pond. Paddline straight ahead to circle the pond counter-clockwise. Will follow the coast on the right. Water lillies. Surprised there are these cormorants inland in so small a pond! More water lillies. In front is the soutern end of Long Pond. Just turned around and now paddling northwards. An island on Long Pond. One can access this spot from Lantern Hill Road. Jump rope. Landed. Paddle time was 50 minutes.
