Kayaking on Connecticut River - from Lyme NH to Hartford VT


Rating: Two-and-a-Half Stars - It was a dark sky that hung over our kayak trip on this stretch of the Connecticut. A short portage is required at the Hewes Brook put in. Paddle time is 3 hours and 22 minutes.

  Put in at Hewes Brook access
  on River Road in Lyme NH.
Take out at Kilowatt Park on
  Passumpic Ave in Hartford VT.

At the Hewes Brook access to the Connecticut River on River Road in Lyme NH.
Trip date is October 2016.


A short portage of 200+ feet is required at Hewes Brook access.


Today's kayak buddy is the Boston Kayaker's wife.

Into the Connecticut River, we are turning left and will paddle with the flow.

Veering to the left to make a stop at Wilson's landing.


Will make a stop at the Wilson's Landing on the left bank.
