Lakes of Massachusetts: Bare Hill Pond Harvard Town Boat Ramp Rules All photos in this website are original and copyrighted. At Warren Avenue in Harvard MA. Trip date is June 2013. The launch to Bare Hill Pond will be about 400 feet from this entrance. So the notice "No vehicles beyond this point" should be complied to in spirit but not in the literal sense. At the town conservation area launch to Bare Hill Pond. The Boston Kayaker just launched on Bare Hill Pond. I paddled to the right and will do a counter-clockwise circumnavigation. The town beach (for residents only) is on the north east corner of Bare Hill Pond. A blue heron on Bare Hill Pond. The power lines connecting the private island on my left. Girl Scouts. No man is an island except the residents of this house. I think this is the same bird I photographed earlier on the other side of the pond. This is the cove on the mid-western side. A beaver lodge on Bare Hill Pond. I will try to chase whether this waters lead me to anywhere (inlet or outlet). This seem to be as swamp as I can go. Turned around and now heading back to the Bare Hill Pond. Turtle on Barehill Pond. You can hear the rushing waters coming from this inlet. Helicopter hovering over Bare Hill Pond. Landed. I was on Bare Hill Pond for 2 hours 20 minutes. |
