All photos in this website are original and copyrighted. On Route 44 in Greenville RI. The put in to the Waterman Lake is this informal road side access. Trip date is July 2019. On the banks of the Waterman Lake. Just launched on Waterman Lake and paddled to my right. Will circle the lake counter-clockwise on follow the coast on my right. On my left is an inhabited island. The buoys marking the public beach. One lifeguard and empty beach. In front is the northwest end of Waterman Lake. Looking to my left, Waterman Lake viewed from the northwest end. Continuing my counterclockwise paddle. Duck family. Pontoon boats is the favorite toy accessory here. Jetskis too. It will probably take you a full two minutes to go around the lake. And then what? A private members-only beach. An island on Waterman Lake connected by a foot bridge. Passing under the footbridge. On my left, the same island I pictured earlier from the other side of the lake. Just turned right onto this cove. Approaching the Pine Ledge Road bridge. The bridge has no clearance at the bottom to paddle under. On the southeast corner of Waterman Lake is this marina. The Waterman Lake dam. On my final approach to my launch site. On right is Route 44. Landed. Paddle time is 1 hour 39 minutes. |
