Kayaking on Rogers Lake - in Lyme CT


Rating: One-and-a-Half Stars - A small L-shaped lake. Quiet when I was there early one morning. The shores are mostly developed. Paddle time was 1 hour 35 minutes.

At the launch area to Rogers Lake on Grassy Hill Road in Lyme CT.

The Boston Kayaker just launched into Rogers Lake heading to the left (south).


Out of the launch cove and into the main body of Rogers Lake.


Pivot to my right. Will circle Rogers Lake counter-clockwise.





Just rounded the peninsula and now facing northwards.











In front of me is the northeast corner of this inverted-L-shaped lake.


Turning the corner leftwards.


Looking to my left, Rogers Lake from viewed the north end.





A small cove on my right.











Continuing westwards, the northern shore on my right.











Ahead of me is the north west corner of Rogers Lake.


Pivot to the left.


Will approach the southern shore.


Now facing eastwards.

















I am following the shore on my right and now almost southwards.
