All photos in this website are original and copyrighted. At the Dundee Dam on Dundee Road in Gorham ME. Trip date is July 2017. Today's kayak buddy is the Boston Kayaker's wife. The Boston Kayaker and wife just launched into Presumpscot River's Dundee Pond. On our left is the top of Dundee Dam. Paddling northwards. Cormorants on Dundee Pond. Some houses on our right (eastern shore). Dundee Park public beach. Too early for the swimmers (its before 9am). North of Dundee Park, Presumpscot River narrows. Houses on the left bank (western shore). We can now see the Windham Center Road bridge over the Presumpscot. On right is the alternate access from Windham Center Road in Windham ME. It is very shallow here and the water from the bottom of the dam is flowing fast. Time to turn around. Just turned around and now paddling south downstream. This stand-up paddler just launched from the alternate put in site at Windham Center Road. The resident ducks of Dundee Pond. Dundee Park now on our left. Dundee Pond widens again. We can now see the top of the Dundee Dam. Landed. Paddle time is 1 hour and 20 minutes. The access area to Dundee Pond from Windham Center Road in Windham ME.
