At the launch to Lake Gardner off High Street in Amesbury MA. Trip date is October 2019. Too cold to be on the water on this public beach. The Boston Kayaker just launched on Lake Gardner and Powwow River. Veered to the right . . . Going northwards with the coast on my right. Following Lake Gardner to its source. Jump rope. Lake and Powwow River narrowing . . . Will follow the river bend to the left. A group of stand-up paddlers. Jewell Street bridge in New Hampshire. Berries. The Powwow River narrowing. A beaver dam on the way. This beaver dam is my point of return. Just turned around. The couple I passed earlier. Its my turn to take a break from my kayak. Back to the waters of Powwow River.
