Kayaking on Powwow River and Lake Gardner - in Amesbury MA


Rating: Two-and-a-Half Stars - I like chasing rivers and this route is it. From the wide Lake Gardner, I followed the Powwow River until I hit a beaver dam. Paddle time was 2 hours and 1 minute.

  Put in at lake beach off High
  Street in Amesbury MA.
Paddle north to Powwow River as
  far as navigable and return.

Too cold to be on the water on this public beach.


The Boston Kayaker just launched on Lake Gardner and Powwow River.
