Kayaking on Patchogue River - in Westbrook CT

Rating: One-and-a-Half Stars - We launched from the privately owned Pier 76 for a small fee. We paddle about 2 hours before high tide and cross under the bridges inland with the flow. Very hard to time the paddle to the tides and we paddle back when the tide is still rising but the incoming current under the bridges are weaker. The scene here is the esturary and marsh. Paddle time was 1 hour 40 minutes.

This is an old rail bridge not shown in the map.
Checked later using map sattelite images to find out it was an old rail line.

Just for fun, I pretend trying to get into the culvert.
