At Old Boston Post Road in Westbrook CT. Pier 76 is behind Bill's Sea Foods restaurant. Trip date is July 2019. Pier 76 private launch area. The Boston Kayaker's wife just launched. The Boston Kayaker launching on Patchogue River. To the right of the launch is the Route 1 bridge downriver. From the launch, we paddled to the left upstream on Patchogue River. Following the zigzag path of the river, we are almost facing southwards to the Route 1 bridge. Approaching the Wesley Avenue bridge. Old Clinton Road bridge ahead. This is an old rail bridge not shown in the map. Checked later using map sattelite images to find out it was an old rail line. Approaching the I-93 bridge. Sign says "Exit 65". Passing under the I-93 bridge over the Patchogue River. This is from my camera looking behind . . . Taking a break on a sandy spot. We are now approaching McVeagh Road. Just for fun, I pretend trying to get into the culvert. This is our point of return. Now turning back. Just turned around and now paddling downstream. I-93 bridge. Old rail bridge.
