Kayaking on Lake Mohave - in Cottonwood Cove NV

Rating: Two-and-a-Half Stars - A lake in the middle of the dessert. Barren landscape and different. I took a swim on a secluded beach on the Arizona side and privately mooned the Arizonians for their anti-immigrant laws.

Just launched on Lake Mohave.

Paddling out of the marina into the open waters of Lake Mohave.

Paddling north, this picture is to my left (Nevada side).

Mile 23 marker. Odd mile numbers on Nevada side, even numbers on Arizona side.

The barren Mount Davis on the Arizona side.

I decided to go to the Arizona side as there are cliffs there to see.

Mile 24 marker on Arizona side.

Lake Mohave's very clear waters.

A bird (heron I think) in flight.

A boat near the foot of Mount Davis.

After abouth an hour paddling northwards, I turned around and now paddling back.

The same boat I saw earlier sailing to Cottonwood Cove.
My wife later told me it unloaded a Chinese tourists with lots of luggage.

I decided to beach on that nice area and take a swim.

I am now crossing the lake to the Nevada side.
