Kayaking on Great Pond - in Teaticket MA


Rating: One Star - This was our first kayak outing for the season and since the corona virus lockdown. Today's kayak buddies, the Boston Kayaker's wife, daugher & boyfriend, and our puppies Saco and Sebec. This pond is develoed/residential all thru-out and very few spots not private property to land on. From the launch, we paddled north and passed under the Route 28 bridge and u-turned right after. Paddle time for the group is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

  Put in at state ramp on Harrington
  Street in Teaticket MA.
Paddle around Great
  Pond and return.
Estimated round trip
  distance 5+ miles
Channel busy with
  marine traffic.

On Great Pond in Teaticket MA.
Trip date is May 2020.
We turned left northwards from the state ramp launch.


Today's kayak companions, the Boston Kayaker's wife and dogs Saco and Sebec.
Also with us, the 2 yellow kayaks on left, my daughter and her boyfriend.

Continuing our northwards direction . . .





We will bypass this cove/arm on left and veer right to get to the northern end of the Great Pond.

The Great Pond is now getting narrower as we paddle north . . .

Soon after passing the bridge, fast-flowing water made us turn around.
Now paddling southwards.

Back on the water, we will paddle to the public ramp.
