Trash Paddler: Dropping into Lake Boon Kayak Trip Report All photos in this website are original and copyrighted. At Stow MA's Pine Bluff Recreation Area. A youth soccer game going on. Stow's town beach. Launching here requires a bit of portage to this beach. The Boston Kayaker just launched on Lake Boon. A fast boat pulling a water skier. Paddling to my left on a southerly direction. Wake coming . . . The water skier's boat wake. I am now approaching that narrow section just before the L-corner of this L-shaped lake. I am at the narrows just before this lake will bend to the left. Just veered left and continuing to follow the shoreline of Lake Boon. Now onto the coves in the southeast portion of Lake Boon. This part of Lake Boon looks undeveloped. Turtles on Lake Boon. The easier access to Lake Boon that I found out just now at the southeast end. Just turned around and now paddling back. A couple turtle-watching. I can see the town beach now but will take a small detour to me left towards the dam. No visible sign of the dam . . . Turning around and will cross the lake to the town beach my final destination. The town beach is directly across the dam cove. Landed. Time on the water is 1 hour and 31 minutes.
